Mission Statement

The Purpose of Walnut Grove Church shall be to fulfill the Great Commission to make disciples.
Disciple shall mean Christ copy or a person living a lifestyle that presses toward a goal of being Christ like. A disciple is one who gathers regularly for worship and fellowship, who gives and receives instruction or teaching, and who is committed to evangelism.

The emphasis and focus of Walnut Grove Church shall be in four area:

    1. Worship

    2. Fellowship

    3. Biblical Teaching (being taught and teaching)

    4. Evangelism (spiritual reproduction)


WORSHIP - Worship shall be defined as ascribing worth to God. Worship is dual in effect:

    1. Ascribing worth to God

    2. Worship of God - talking with God

    3. Edification of Disciples (God talks with Man)

Purpose of worship services are:

    1. Praise and Worship to God

    2. Opportunity for Fellowship

    3. Instruction

    4. Evangelism

Goals of Worship:

    1. Bring communicants into the presence of God

    2. Provide opportunity to praise and ascribe worth to God

    3. Making worship a daily experience (an attitude not a location)

Actions of Worship

    1. Sunday Morning Worship

    2. Encourage Daily Devotional Life

    3. Encourage Family Worship -- both at home and regular church services
